Wedding Vs Marriage

Updated: May 13

Isn't a Marriage and Wedding the same?

Both a Wedding and a Marriage is important. Your Wedding is one day. It is one day that is full of love, laughter and celebration and then like every day, it ends. Leaving you with a lifetime of memories.

A Marriage means committing to a relationship that will last a lifetime. It means fully investing in a partnership and working together to build a life and a home.

Both a Wedding and a Marriage are important - one is a milestone in your life, the other is a decision to build a life together. Both require planning, preparation and intention.

Planning a wedding takes time and publicly highlights the choice that the couple are wanting to enter into life together as a married couple. There are so many decisions to make to ensure the significance of the actual wedding ceremony. Planning your actual wedding ceremony - making promises and vows to each other - will bring you closer together.

You spend hours, weeks, years even planning your wedding. You plan the dress, the table decor, the flowers, the music. But what about the Celebrant? You need a celebrant to legally wed you so you can start your married life together.

The wedding ceremony is possibly not the most fun part of the day - but it is a necessary one and is basically the whole point of your big day and really sets the tone.

As a wedding celebrant on the Sunshine Coast, I travel all over the coast and to Brisbane meeting up with my couples to get to know them in order to write and present a totally awesome ceremony that is all about you and your love story. Your wedding ceremony doesn't have to be the boring bit that the guests endure before they get to the bar. It should be fabulous, fun and unique to you and kicks off your special day in style.

Call me to help you with your big day and to start you off to a beautiful long and happily married life. #weddingcelebrantsunshinecoast #weddingsunshinecoast #noosaweddings.org
