Momentous occasion - my first blog! I want to introduce myself. I am a newly minted marriage celebrant - having received my registration in November 2023. We all have to start somewhere and have our first day on the job. I am off to a good start with 8 beautiful couples putting their faith in me to deliver.
This is a brand-new gig for me. I have been working in the not-for-profit sector forever. Over the course of quite a few years I have worked to raise millions of dollars for social justice causes close to my heart.
I am a sunshine coast local and have fallen in love with the Noosa Hinterland. This is where you will find me, going for long hikes, walking my super dog and hanging out with the love of my life.
Why a marriage celebrant? A wedding is such a joyous occasion. There is something magical about watching a couple walk toward each other and stand in front of their family and friends declaring their love. It is such a special day, and if I can add to that magic - then bring it on.
I am also pretty spot on with detail and can talk endlessly about flowers, table settings, sound levels, the right songs to set the mood, candles, colour schemes, guests lists and so on.........
